Schedule & Location: Client home is located in Englewood, CO 80112; 10-15 hours a week guaranteed. Schedule may vary

POSITION

Homemaker

PURPOSE

To provide daily support to a male individual with disabilities assisting with activities of daily living. As a Homemaker, you will be asked to provide unskilled household services to individuals with disabilities in order to maintain a healthy and safe environment..  This client currently lives with at home in Englewood, CO 80112.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Follow the Plan of Care established by the RN and consumer

  • Change linens and/or making bed

  • Do consumer’s laundry

  • Perform routine light cleaning, such as dusting, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning the bathroom and kitchen, removing trash

  • Go shopping

  • Prepare meals and wash dishes

  • Maintain timely records of home visits per PASCO policy and governing body rules and regulations

  • Maintain strong two-way communication with team members and PASCO administration

  • Attend meetings and absorb information provided, or proactively acquire information presented through other means

  • Proactively communicate any other issues including (but not limited to) clinical questions or special circumstances, compliance questions or issues, etc.

  • Understand and comply with all appropriate HIPAA regulations, maintain strict consumer health care record privacy and confidentiality

  • At all times, adhere to all rules and regulations set forth by State and Federal Agencies as well as PASCO’s administration

  • Other duties as assigned by PASCO’s nursing administration

POSITION INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current auto insurance

  • Prior home health experience (preferred)

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Punctual and dependable.

  • Able to access app on mobile phone for timekeeping.

  • Flexibility with a possible change in location of job -- as client wishes to move to live independently (still in Arvada, CO).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

  • Mobility to bend, stoop, kneel, twist at hips.

  • Visual and auditory acuity to assess needs and respond promptly.

  • Ability to understand and follow instructions given by client
