POSITION

Home Care Agency (HCA) Director

POSITION PURPOSE

Directs, coordinates, supervises, and spearheads implementation of all HCA supportive services. Monitor services provided to HCA consumers, and ensure consumer satisfaction, safety, compliance, and program growth.

  • The budgeted wage range is $85,000 to $95,000. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise & may vary from the amount above.

Job requirements

  • Manage all services PASCO provides through its HCA program ensuring consistent delivery of The PASCO Promise 
  • Spearhead new projects to advance the HCA program. Foster innovation and continuous improvement within HCA.
  • Directly manage and provide career development over an established administration team. Drives employee happiness and retention.
  • Oversee the supervision of a large team of home health attendants ensuring consumer and caregiver safety.
  • Guide the hiring, on-boarding, and training processes for all HCA administrative and home health attendants.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and agency requirements.
  • Spearhead complaint, incident and survey activities.
  • Ensure communication is timely and professional both internally and externally.
  • Support team as necessary to ensure consumers and caregivers are supported.
  • Understand and comply with all appropriate HIPAA regulations; assure and oversee strict consumer health care record privacy and confidentiality.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities that are assigned or required to fulfill listed key duties and responsibilities.

Ensure compliance with all Medicaid billing practices, and compliance with HCPF and COFHI legislation and administration.

  • Ensure compliance with educational training requirements, licensing standards, and state laws
  • Participation in the Regulatory Compliance Committee within PASCO

Oversee regulatory responsibilities and ensure consumer rights and quality management

  • The completion, maintenance, and submission of such reports and records as required by the department
  • Understand and comply with all appropriate HIPAA regulations, and maintain strict health care record privacy and confidentiality.

Relationship Management:

  • Establish positive relationships with consumers and their families, colleagues, vendors, and community agencies.
  • Act as a liaison and advocate for the PASCO community.
  • Maintain a positive attitude, demonstrate flexibility and balance both self-interest and service of others interest with the interests of the agency.
  • Promote the vision, mission, and strategic plan of PASCO

Education and/or Licenses:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a social services or related field preferred.
  • Must complete all competencies and trainings required by PASCO administration.

EXPERIENCE

  • Over 5 years of management and supervisory experience in Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS), with a preference for knowledge of HCBS-HCA waivers.
  • Proven experience and skills aligned with job assignments.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Comprehensive understanding of State, Federal, and Licensing regulations related to care delivery and documentation by Home Care Agencies.
  • Proficiency in operating computers, with familiarity in Microsoft products, especially Outlook, and the ability to manage work within an Electronic Health Record system.
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing, ensuring timely and accurate information dissemination within the organization.
  • Leadership and management abilities, including monitoring progress, auditing performance, providing feedback, and managing conflict and change.
  • Clinical judgment rooted in clinical knowledge and experience, enabling independent data collection, interpretation, and appropriate action determination.
  • Customer service orientation focused on establishing and maintaining professional relationships with consumers and delivering compassionate care.
  • Commitment to fulfilling obligations, maintaining strong communication, and demonstrating reliability.
  • Collaborative spirit, maintaining a positive attitude, flexibility, and balancing personal and agency interests.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, maintaining schedules and meeting deadlines.
  • Resilience and stress management, with the ability to remain composed in complex situations.
  • Attention to detail, ensuring thorough and accurate work, whether detailed or repetitive.
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work with a diverse population.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform medium detailed work, including:
    • Walking or standing for significant periods.
    • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
    • Engaging in activities requiring stooping, kneeling, crouching, grasping, lifting, reaching, and pushing.
    • Close visual acuity for tasks such as data analysis, computer use, extensive reading, and detailed visual inspection.
  • Access to reliable transportation, with a valid Colorado driver’s license and insurance.
  • Availability to work weekends and on-call on a rotating basis.

LOCATION: Hybrid (onsite in Lakewood, CO offices and remote)

PAY:  $85,000 to $95,000 DOE
