Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

COMPENSATION: $21.41 per hour

SCHEDULE & LOCATION:
Monday- Friday 6am-8am morning visit; at the client's home in Littleton, CO 80128. 12 hours/week.

POSITION DETAILS:

This CNA will work with a female client in their home in Littleton, CO 80128 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 6am-8am and 3:30pm-5:30pm. As a CNA you will be asked to provide skilled care services including, but not limited to assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) like bathing/showering, bladder/bowel care, dressing/undressing, exercise (range of motion), feeding assistance and choking precautions, hair care, nail care, mouth care, skin care, positioning, safety/fall precautions, ambulation, and transfers using Gait Belt.

POSITION INFORMATION/REQUIREMENTS:

• Current and unencumbered CNA (Certified Nursing Assistance) licensure in Colorado (DORA to certify)

• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current auto insurance

• Prior home health experience (highly preferred)

• Working knowledge and experience of working within the disabled community.

• Assist client with activities of daily living: 

  • bathing/showering (requires greater than minimal assist)

  • toileting (bladder/bowel care)

  • Dressing/Undressing

  • Feeding assistance

  • Hygiene including hair care (shampoo/conditioner, dry, style, comb), mouth care (brush teeth, floss), nail care, skin care (apply lotion)

  • Transfers (using Gait Belt or Stand & Pivot)

  • Safety and Fall Precautions

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.

• Stamina to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Mobility to bend, stoop, kneel, twist at hips assist with transfers.

• Visual and auditory acuity to assess clients needs and respond promptly.

• Manual dexterity to perform tasks such as taking vital signs and assisting with personal care.
