POSITION
PAR Administrator
POSITION PURPOSE
The PAR Administrator plays a crucial role in supporting PASCO Home Health by ensuring the verification of initial and ongoing payer authorization and eligibility for home care services. Not only will you be monitoring and ensuring that all client service authorizations meet payer requirements, but you will also have the opportunity to review and process authorizations, maintain professional communication with stakeholders, and stay updated on home care insurance practices.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies insurance eligibility an authorization of current and potential home care clients in an accurate and timely manner.
- Communicates payer authorization and eligibility information to Clinical Manager, Case Manager or other appropriate parties.
- Enters insurance authorization and eligibility information.
- Performs re-authorization and eligibility checks in a timely manner.
- Communicates and documents information regarding change in authorization and eligibility to PASCO personnel.
- Monitors and ensures all client authorization of services are current and quantity and type of services provided meet payer requirements.
- Reviews and ensures appropriate processing of authorizations.
- Sends informational correspondence to payer.
- Maintains professional, positive and effective communication with payers, clients, and PASCO employees.
- Maintains confidentiality of all information pertaining to clients, families and employees.
- Consults with PASCO management and clinical employees.
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as assigned by the PASCO.
- Maintains knowledge and education to remain current, efficient and productive as a home care insurance and payer resource.
- Demonstrates self-direction to prioritize and accomplish job responsibilities.
Job requirements
Experience
-Home Health care delivery (preferred)
Experience with medical records designation (preferred)
Education, Licenses, or Certifications
-High School Diploma or equivalent required
-CNA, LPN background preferred
Prior Authorization Certified Specialist (PACS) preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Strong attention to detail
-Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing</li>
-Comfort and willingness to learn all facets of the electronic health record system
-Knowledge of State, Federal, and Licensing rules and regulations for care delivery and documentation by Home Care Agencies
-Strong organization and time management skills

For physical or other requirements, the role may involve light detailed work, sitting in front of a computer screen, walking, standing, and exerting force. PAY: 20 - 22/hour
SCHEDULE/LOCATION: This is a full-time, hybrid position. In this role, you'll work two days a week (Monday and Tuesday) in our Lakewood office, and the remaining days will be remote. The working hours are Monday to Friday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM.
